English Horn / Oboe lecturer Classical Department
Who are we looking for:
The Classical Oboe department of the Conservatorium Maastricht is looking to appoint an inspiring and informed musician to join the oboe department. We will appoint a candidate who has an established and excellent artistic career and reputation in guiding young musicians of tomorrow towards realizing their musical aspirations.
We are seeking to appoint a professional English Horn (EH) and oboe player with an international reputation as a performer and teacher. Essential is a proven track record of having taught highly skilled EH/Oboe students as they prepare to enter the music profession and international competitions. Our ideal candidate will also have teaching experience in higher music education and will have demonstrated expertise in delivering a detailed technical foundation in their instruction. We are looking for an experienced and professional musician with a specialty on the EH and oboe, a skilled communicator across cultures, and a driven personality who takes initiative, thinks creatively, and is solution-oriented.
Excellent English skills in listening/comprehension, speaking, and writing are a must, as the Conservatorium is a fully international institution.
This is part of your work:
- Teaching individual English Horn/Oboe/reedmaking/excerpt lessons to Junior, Bachelor, and Master students.
- Actively recruiting students.
- Involvement in the further development of the educational program.
- Working together in a team within the oboe department, to offer the broadest and highest level of education to our students.
